Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is one of Scotland's most popular free attractions and features 22 themed, state-of-the-art galleries displaying an astonishing 8000 objects.

The collections at Kelvingrove are extensive, wide-ranging and internationally significant. They include natural history, arms and armour, art from many art movements and periods of history and much more. The most famous painting on display at Kelvingrove is the Salvador Dali masterpiece ‘Christ of St John of the Cross’. Sir Roger the Asian elephant is another big museum attraction. There is even a Spitfire plane hanging from the ceiling of the west court.

The Glasgow Police Museum is the museum of Britain’s first police force, from 1800 to 1975.

The exhibits in the Glasgow Police Historical Exhibition provide a historical insight into the people, events and other factors which contributed to the founding, development and progress of Britain's first Police force, the City of Glasgow Police from 1779 - 1975.

 - Music at St. Patrick's -

We are always eager for new members and anyone is welcome regardless of age with absolutely no requirement for previous experience or an audition (none of the members within our choir read music). Being part of the choir is great fun, it is a great opportunity to develop a talent and make new friends, not to mention, spiritually rewarding. We are always keen to have more musicians within our group and would be extremely grateful for anyone willing to share their talent wether it be on the organ or any orchestral instrument.

E-News Updates LAUNCHED
The Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh is delighted to launch a brand new news service – the e-news update. All you have to do is sign up at our website and we’ll send you a regular e-mail with the latest news, views and information about the Catholic Church in this part of Scotland.

“How entirely fitting that we launch this new e-news service today upon the Feast of St Francis de Sales, the patron saint of journalists and one of the greatest communicators that the Church has ever raised up,” said Archbishop Leo Cushley, 24 January.

“The e-news update is a great way for Catholics – and many others – to keep up to date with everything that the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh is doing to proclaim the joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the one and a half million people who live within the bounds of our diocese.”

To sign up, just click on the link below and scroll down the page where you can subscribe to the e-news update https://archedinburgh.org/news-events.

Thank you. St Francis de Sales, pray for us!
